I am a professional storyteller through dance choreography, performance, and teaching. My work explores the unique balance between grace and strength, and I am drawn to a movement that expresses honest human experiences. I use dance to express emotion, connection, and struggle by bringing personal and shared sensations to life. The collaboration of storytelling and emotional expression, partnered with intelligent dance technique is my approach to creating a powerful story. I aim for my work to inspire people passionately while leaving a lasting impact through the power of dance.

My choreography experiments with unique movement qualities that stimulate an honest experience. As a choreographer, I prioritize creating an inviting space that allows confident exploration. I inspire professionalism and proper technique, yet not at the expense of enjoyment. Thematically, I relate most deeply to movement in ballet and contemporary choreography, yet I also excel at choreographing jazz and musical theatre. Classically, I best demonstrate cohesive storylines on eight to twelve dancers. Guiding dancers in character embodiment and technical precision highlights musically inspired work that transports the audience into a new reality. In contrast, my process with contemporary movement is born out of emotional awareness and intuition for what a piece of music represents. Four to eight dancers in combination are adaptable for satisfying formations to enable full circle storytelling and unexpected, artistic movement.

I create works that acknowledge the innermost being. While striving to expand my choreographic experiences, I practice innovative methods of seeing the message intrinsic to each performance. I see dance as a messenger, a path to mental health for dancers and observers, a path toward healing mind and body, and a gift for personal expression. A successful dance has the power to connect the mind and body, soul and spirit, and inspire beliefs that add value and worth to the lives of dancers and their audience. Through my expansive choreographic experiences and innovative storytelling approach, I awaken harmony between people and provide grounds for breakthrough and emotional freedom.
